Using Ghostbag
Is Ghostbag free?
Yes. There is no account, subscription or connected wallet. The starting balance is simulated and can be reset.
Which chains does Ghostbag support?
Solana, BNB Chain and Robinhood Chain. Each gets its own paper wallet, its own native coin, and the right gas model, venue fees and pool depth — Solana pays per signature with a Jito tip, the EVM chains pay gas price times gas limit, and Robinhood Chain prices through WETH-quoted Uniswap pools where depth is reported directly.
Do you track me, or store anything about my trading?
No. There is no account, no email, no analytics, no telemetry, no remote configuration, no external scripts and no cookies on this site. Your wallets, positions and full trade history are written to your own browser and never leave your machine — there is no server that could hold them.
What is memecoin paper trading?
It is simulated trading against current market conditions. You practise entries, exits, fees and position management with a fake balance rather than signing an on-chain transaction.
Which terminals does Ghostbag support?
Ghostbag is designed for pump.fun, Axiom, Photon, BullX, Padre, GMGN, DexScreener and four.meme. It watches single-page navigation, so changing coins should update the panel without reloading the tab.
How do one-click buys and sells work?
Each buy-size button is an order: click 1 SOL and Ghostbag immediately queues a 1 SOL paper buy. Each sell button closes that percentage of the remaining token position. There is no second confirmation button.
Can I make the extension larger or smaller?
Yes. Open Settings, find Appearance, and change Panel size from 80% to 125%. The whole panel scales while its internal layout stays together.
Does Ghostbag connect to my wallet?
No. It does not ask for a seed phrase, private key, signature or wallet permission. A real wallet is not required because every balance and trade is simulated.
Does my trade history leave my computer?
No. Paper wallets, positions, settings and history are stored locally in the browser. Ghostbag has no account analytics or trade telemetry.
Prices and execution
Do I need a separate market-data account?
No. Normal use reads public market information through read-only connections. Ghostbag never asks the trading page for wallet access or displays provider credentials.
Why can the market cap move faster than my PnL?
PnL follows the token price and your remaining token quantity, while market cap is price multiplied by a supply figure. Updates may arrive at different moments, and an honest simulator also subtracts fees and estimates exit impact.
Is the simulation exactly the same as a real trade?
No. Ghostbag models network costs, platform and pool fees, token-account rent, transfer taxes, available depth, price impact, slippage, delay and failure. Real validators, order routing, private flow and competing transactions can still produce a different fill.
What is slippage?
Slippage is the difference between the expected price and the acceptable execution price. A low tolerance can reject a fast-moving order; a very high tolerance can accept a much worse fill. Slippage tolerance does not remove price impact.
What is MEV?
Maximum extractable value is value gained by changing transaction inclusion or ordering. On fast public markets it can appear as front-running or sandwich activity. Learn more in the price-impact and MEV guide.
Can paper trading guarantee profitable real trades?
No. It can improve familiarity with mechanics and record-keeping, but it cannot reproduce every real fill, validator decision, latency event or loss.
Wallets and safety
What is a multi-wallet setup?
It means separating activity across more than one wallet—for example, a low-balance trading wallet and a separate storage wallet. More wallets do not create safety by themselves; each recovery phrase, approval and destination address still has to be protected.
Should I click a link inside an unexpected token or NFT?
No. Treat unsolicited assets, support messages and urgent reward links as hostile. Navigate to a project or wallet website independently and verify the domain before connecting anything.
How do I spot a possible rug pull?
Treat concentrated ownership, active mint or freeze authority, removable liquidity, unexplained developer-wallet transfers and urgent social promotion as risk signals. No single signal proves a rug. Use the rug-pull checklist.
Is copying a profitable wallet safe?
No. A public wallet can be hedged elsewhere, receive private allocations, trade faster than a follower or use many linked addresses. Study and paper-test the behaviour before risking funds.
Learning memecoins
What do CA, dev, FOMO and bonding curve mean?
CA is contract address, dev usually means the token creator or developer, FOMO is fear of missing out, and a bonding curve is a formula that changes token price as supply is bought or sold. See the full glossary.
How do pump.fun fees work?
Fee schedules depend on the stage and pool configuration and can change. Our pump.fun guide explains the current structure and links directly to the official live fee page.
Where should a beginner start?
Start with wallet security, then learn liquidity, slippage and price impact. Paper-trade one repeatable setup, review every fill, and avoid treating a social-media post or a single wallet as proof.
